Dorin Brener Turgeman Appointed as Chair of the NTD NGO Network (NNN)

02 Oct 2025

The NTD NGO Network (NNN) is delighted to announce the appointment of Dorin Brener Turgeman as its new Chair. Dorin, who has served as Vice Chair over the past year, brings deep experience and a longstanding commitment to eliminating neglected tropical diseases (NTDs).

As Head of Operations at NALA, Dorin has led innovative programmes and advocacy efforts that strengthen national NTD responses and community engagement. During her tenure as Vice Chair, she led the successful organisation of the 16th Annual NNN Conference in Kampala, Uganda—a milestone event that reflected the network’s collaborative spirit and global reach.

Dorin has been a key driver in advancing WASH–NTD integration through her leadership of the NNN WASH Working Group, which has developed tools and learning resources including the OpenWHO WASH–NTD course and the SBC Quick Guide for programme implementers.

As the NNN’s Strategic Review process reaches its conclusion, Dorin will guide the implementation of the new Blueprint for Action, ensuring the network is well-positioned to deliver on its vision and strengthen its role as a catalyst for collaboration and innovation.

Reflecting on her new role, Dorin shared her appreciation for the network’s evolution:

“It’s an honour to serve this extraordinary community at a time when the NNN has truly become a network of networks—connecting practitioners, amplifying lived experiences, and driving innovation through collaboration.”

Under her leadership, the NNN will continue to build bridges across sectors and geographies, ensuring that community voices, evidence, and partnerships remain at the heart of progress toward NTD elimination.
