Save the Date: NNN Meeting 28-30th September

28 Apr 2017

Following the “record breaking” success of the NTD Summit in Geneva where we all had the opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to creating a world free of NTDs we are delighted to announce this year’s meeting of the Neglected Tropical Disease (NTD) NGO Network (NNN). The conference this year is supported by the Schistosomiasis Control Initiative Imperial College London, RTI International and other NGO partners from 28th - 30th September 2017 in Dakar, Senegal hosted by Helen Keller International. Please save the date.

The NNN is a global forum for nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) working to control or eliminate NTDs. Our network now has over 60 member organisations working in more than 100 countries and spending annually around half a billion dollars in support of national NTD programmes.  NGOs are uniquely placed, given their field-based programs and experience, to assist in reaching the world’s most underserved populations, like those suffering from NTDs. The NNN promotes comprehensive approaches that encompasses the breadth of interventions needed to control and eliminate NTDs and to this end is developing  the BEST Framework for Action (Behaviour, Environment, Social Inclusion and Equity and Treatment and Care). The NNN 2017 Conference will focus on how we, as the NGO community, come together to facilitate this comprehensive approach and generate solutions and actions that can be implemented in the programmes we support. This won’t be just another NTD conference – it’s your chance to roll up your sleeves, have your say and shape the end result.

Please share this announcement as widely as possible to ensure we reach all who are interested in this vital work especially those who do not usually attend NTD events. By doing so, you will encourage new voices, talents and expertise to join the movement of people seeking a world free of NTDs.

If your organisation is not currently a member of NNN and would like to join please contact Wendy Harrisonw [dot] harrison [at] imperial [dot] ac [dot] uk  or Tanya Woodtwood [at] ilepfederation [dot] org

To register and for more information on the conference venue please visit the NNN 2017 Registration Website which will be live from 10th May 2017– only 141 days to go.

We look forward to welcoming you in September.
