King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital and Research Center

King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital and Research Center was founded by the order of King Khaled – may Allah's mercy be upon him– in August 1979 and officially opened during the reign of King Fahad –may Allah's mercy be upon him– in November 1983. A Royal Decree No. (28341) was issued on April 21, 1446 AH, approving the bylaws of the hospital and designating it as an independent, private, non-profit institution under the Royal Commission for Riyadh City. The hospital offers specialized ophthalmic care to patients and visitors of all ages, employing the latest technologies and evidence-based medical practices. Its comprehensive health services cover all subspecialties of ophthalmology, including anterior segment ophthalmology, pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus, glaucoma, neuro-ophthalmology, uveitis, retina, oculoplastic and reconstructive surgeries, corneal transplantation, as well as optometry and vision rehabilitation. In addition to its role as a center for education, training, and rehabilitation, the KKESH&RC plays a vital role in advancing the development of ophthalmology and eye surgery locally, regionally, and globally. The hospital is committed to continuing its contributions to the advancement of specialized scientific and genetic research, publishing papers, and hosting specialized workshops, seminars, and conferences.
