Passport requirements for all visitors to Malaysia

Visitors to Malaysia must be in possession of a valid passport or travel document with a minimum validity of six months beyond the period of stay. Starting from Jan 2024, all visitors are required to complete their Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MACD) 3 days before the arrival.

Visa-Free Entry

Many nationalities enjoy visa-free entry into Malaysia for a certain duration, typically ranging from 14 to 90 days. Only delegates or visitors from 32 countries require a visa to enter Malaysia and they can apply for an electronic visa online via eVISA.

Note: please note that China and India which are on the current list are visa exempted until 31 December 2024.

eVISA is an online application platform that enables foreign nationals who require a visa to apply for an electronic visa to enter Malaysia as per the section above.
