Fundacion Probitas

Probitas Foundation aims to improve the quality of life for low-income communities by promoting access to quality health care in collaboration with local entities and health ministries. Probitas focuses its efforts on combating Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) and supports projects for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of NTDs. This includes strengthening public and community health structures to reduce impact on communities.

Probitas collaborates in the development of community-level projects focused on providing water, sanitation and hygiene for prevention of NTD, specialized diagnosis and health care, training and capacity building of local health personnel, applied research, vector control, and awareness campaigns, including Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) initiatives.

Furthermore, the Probitas Lab Program enhances the capacities of clinical diagnostic laboratories in remote regions, facilitating the detection of health problems in communities and determining priorities. This program ensures access to quality and timely clinical diagnoses, guaranteeing the reliability of tests and the speed of obtaining results. The work of a multidisciplinary team, in collaboration with local entities and health ministries, enables improvements in laboratory equipment and infrastructure, as well as the knowledge and skills of laboratory technicians.
