Footwork
Footwork is a charity that brings together public and private partners to support prevention and treatment of podoconiosis. There are an estimated four million people affected by this tropical lymphoedema globally, with many more millions at risk.
Footwork encourages integration of podoconiosis control into efforts to eliminate other Neglected Tropical Diseases, and works with those active in other related diseases of the foot by focusing on three key streams of activity:
- Improving lives: Enable universal access to interventions to improve the lives of affected individuals and communities.
- Bringing together: Bring together national, regional and global actors to strengthen coordination, collaboration and mutual learning.
- Evidence-based advocacy: Harness evidence-based advocacy to accelerate the adoption and scale-up of interventions for treatment and prevention.
